Hi! My name is Deb Dvorak.
I live in a small town just outside of Peoria, IL and have a small rabbitry - Flower Power Foxes. Like almost all breeders I know that raise Silver Fox, I love the breed. I have had rabbits most of my life, either as pets in my youth or assisting my children with their chosen breed(s) in their youth, but the Silver Fox is the breed I chose because there is nothing about them I do not thoroughly enjoy. I am thrilled to have joined the group of great people raising Silver Fox. Since there are no breeders near me, I am "raising my own" competition by giving away trios to others interested in starting to raise Silver Fox. Anyone in my local club (and for that matter that has met me at shows) can tell you that I am crazy about my Silver Foxes and that I will share with anyone who will listen how wonderful they are.
I am currently the co-webmaster for the NSFRC (with a wonderful co-webmaster, Mary McCarty). I ran for Secretary/Treasurer for our club because I want the NSFRC to stand out as one of the ARBA's best specialty clubs and am willing to do my part to make it happen! I look forward to working with the other members of the board as well as the membership of the club.
Respectfully,
Deb Dvorak

Hi Fellow Silver Fox fans!!
My name is Kelly Bauer, along with my husband and 2 kids, Alex and JT, we are BS Bunnies. We operate a small rabbitry in Wolcott, IN. We’ve had several different breeds in the past, but the only one that has come and stayed is the Silver Fox! Our rabbits started out in a small corner of our garage and as we ventured out more and more into the garage my husband Mark decided we needed to build a barn. We started building that barn in November 2009 and moved in the end of May 2010. So now our bunnies have their own “house” and my car is once again inside the garage!
In 2009 we accomplished one of our Silver Fox goals ~ Alex and JT won Silver Fox Nationals with a clean sweep of Best of Breed, Best Opposite Sex and Best Fur with a pair of “homegrown” siblings.
Our main variety is black, although we do have one chocolate doe and one newly acquired blue doe. We also raise French Lops, Giant Chinchillas and Thriantas.
For the past 18 years I’ve worked at Jasper County Community Services, Inc. as the Transportation Director and Finance Manager. I currently serve on our county’s 4-H Rabbit Club Committee and in the past I have been the Club Leader and Co-Leader.
I love being part of the Silver Fox family ~ although we are so few and far between when we do see each other we just pick up where we left off – sometimes a whole year later!! I enjoy being a director and an ambassador for this wonderful unique breed!
Best Wishes!
Kelly :)

Hello my name is Sarah Tudor, my husband, Eric & I have a small rabbitry called, "Riverwind Rabbitry" in Lebanon, Missouri. We started raising rabbits about 2005, and I got my first trio of Silver Fox rabbits as part of my Christmas present in 2006. I had been infactuated with the rare, heritage breeds, and in my research stumbled across the Silver Fox and it was love at first sight. We quickly outgrew our converted sun room porch, moved to a outside storage shed, and are now building an addition to give us about (60) holes dedicated to our beloved breed.
We have been very blessed to win SF Nationals BOB (Best Of Breed) in 2010, and BOB, & BEST FUR at SF Nationals in 2011. We specialize in the BLACK variety, but also have pairs of BLUES, & CHOCOLATES with a few LILAC and even one WHITE in our color pallet. We decided a few years back to get out of the various other breeds (Giant Chins, Netherlands, & Mini-Rex) but did keep a handful of Sandy Flemish Giants as well.
I served as a 1 year temporary Director in the NSFRC during the restructure, took one year off, and am returning in a 2 year position 2012-2013, I also currently serve as the NSFRC Historian. We love our Silver Fox rabbits and spoil them every chance we get, while my husband and I work full time jobs on odd shifts, we always take time to talk to anyone about this wonderful breed or rabbit. If you find yourself in the area, drop us a line, we don't claim to know all the answers, but would love to help and mentor anyone interested in the breed.
