Election Committee Announcement: NSFRC Members Elect New Leadership and Approve Four Amendments

The 2026 National Silver Fox Rabbit Club election concluded on August 31, with 150 members participating.

Risa Bayliff was elected President with 106 votes. Michael Petersen received 42 votes, and two presidential ballots were left blank.

Five candidates sought three positions on the Board of Directors. Members elected Emily Kuhn with 106 votes, Sue McGonegal with 93 votes, and Ashley Carrube with 93 votes. Bill Brockman received 77 votes, and Rebah Heino received 50 votes.

Members also considered five proposed amendments to the NSFRC Constitution and Bylaws. Four were adopted:

  • Amendment 1, exempting the Secretary and Treasurer from the general term limit, passed with 85.33% approval.
  • Amendment 2, creating a limited term-limit exception when no qualified candidate files for an office, passed with 91.33% approval.
  • Amendment 3, establishing updated discipline and due-process procedures, passed with 71.14% approval.
  • Amendment 5, clarifying and aligning the provisions governing mail and secure electronic voting, passed with 93.96% approval.

Amendment 4, which proposed regional representation for directors, received 66.44% approval. It required a two-thirds vote and fell one affirmative vote short of adoption.
